WOO HOO! BBC TURN BACK TIME - THE HIGH STREET

Some of you may have been following the BBC's TURN BACK TIME - THE HIGH STREET.
You might remember the 1970s era and in particular Woo Hoo the clothes shop.
Well, now you can shop there! Zoe and Mandy who participated in the programme decided to take on that shop and very appropriately sell vintage clothes and accessories.

When you enter the shop, the decor is very much as shown in the TV series.

Come in and have a browse...

It is a delightful shop which since opening has proved to be a huge success!
Why not go and see for yourself....I left there with 2 dresses, a top and a faux fur cape. Pictures to follow!

A bientôt!

I'm really pleased about that. I hope it has a ripple effect as the town really looks so lovely and such a shame that the centre is not as thriving as it was.

I recognise the lady on the right from my shopping days on Catherine Hill. Did she own one of the shops there, or work in one? It's going to drive me mad now!!!!
Lovely shop. It's becoming more and more like Frome isn't it? How lovely for you to have such a fabulous shop just down the road.
Take care and have a wonderful Christmas,
Jane. xx

Haven't seen the 70's episode yet because husband insists on watching cricket highlights :{ It has been recorded for me though. Great to read the shop is doing well. xx

I still like some of the 70's stuff! There is a TV show in reruns here in the US called "That 70's Show" and I love to watch it to look at the clothes... some look like what I wore in high school way back then.
Have a great day,
Lisa

isn't it nice to hear some uplifting news for a change.

Although the tightening-of-belts-situation has hit many people very hard, I do feel it's heralding the return of small businesses with good, effience personal service.
Back to being A Nation of Shopkeepers!

Wow the shop loks stunning, even better than when it was in the programme. Good luck to them both in their new venture and how nice to see that something positive has come out of it.

To all the ladies who wished they could see it, tehy would have been able to on the BBC website, on iplayer.
I watched a couple of the ones I missed on there!
will have to let you know when it is repeated.
I live in Bath, but most vintage is very expensive if you can find your size.I collected from the 80's then in last few years sold stuff as the vintage revival hadnt happened then, and felt too self consious at the age of 47 to wear any of it!
Haven't made it down to Shpton Mallet yet, but practically every town in UK has a vintage store and the charity shops have a 'vintage/retro' section!
