Mad about hats!
In my last post, I mentioned that I something was being hand made for me. Well there it is! A cloche hat made by Clare - Daisy Darling. I have admired her work ever since she began making hats. I have a small head and as a result I find it hard to get hats that fit me. I usually have to go to the children's section and the selection can be rather limited and not very grown up looking... To have a hat made to fit my head perfectly is wonderful! I am so pleased with it, I love it! Already thinking about which colour to go for next... :-)
I arranged to meet up with Clare in Frome where the Christmas Artisan Market was on. It was packed! The stalls went all the way up St Catherine's Hill. The shops were open and the whole place was filled with a Christmassy atmosphere.
Really liked these tweed hats. I love tweed and hats, the perfect combination!

Yes I couldn't resist the blue tweed hat in the end...It was a good day for hats! Well it's like shoes and handbags, you can never have too many :-)
A bientôt!

Hello Isabelle,
is so long that I follow your blog,
fell in love with England,
I come here every year, so looking at the
Your blog seems to me to be there, I really like!
If you want to come and visit mine.
I'll wait for Susy
Oh how lovely both those hats are - I love hats but rarely wear them since once I have put one one my hair is completely flattened and won't bounce back when I take it off again so it means washing my hair before being in company. That hat looks so light though that it might just work on me - must go to Frome and have a look!
Pity I didn't know about the Frome Christmas Artisan's Market or I would have gone - it looks great fun.
Jane
it's gorgeous!!! well, they both are!!!! I'm with you all the way...shoes, bags and hats......lipgloss, scarfs, gloves...uhm...;)

I LOVE the hats..both of them, and they really suit you! :0)
I love your two hats, Isabelle, they look great :-)
And I'm kicking myself as I'd forgotten the market was on at St Catherines Hill today :-( Though maybe it is just as well I didn't go, having spent my pennies last weekend!
Wishing you a happy week ahead,

I think I have fallen in love with the hat... I really want a hat but I look daft in woolie hats... now a felt cloche might be just right... you look very mysterious... ;D
do you know I have never been to Frome... and i live so close! very bad Alex.... I must make more of an effort! x
Fabulous hats! Both of them suit you extremely well.
Hi Isabelle,
What a great looking hat. It really suits you!
Lieve groet, Madelief
Oh look at that craft market and all the street stalls- so nice and christmasy. Love the hats, I am similiar to you- have a very small head :) Hats don't suit me though. Yours are lovely on you- very trendy and stylish. You'd need them this weather as it is so bitterly cold
All things nice...
Wish hats suited me as much as they do you. Love the first one. Did you get my reply about the storage jar.

I agree Isabelle, you can never have too many hats, boots, shoes or bags!

You look really lovely in that hat, it suits you so well! Looks like a great place to browse too! :)xx
Lovely hats and very chic too. The Market looked really colourful and interesting as do the shops. I love the shop window with the Spacehopper and dolls house.
I love the hats, especially the cloche hat! And the shopping looked like so much fun!
XO,
Jane
Isabelle, you look stunning in your beautiful new hats...but then, you look beautiful anytime!
What fun the shopping must have been!
hugs to you...
It is a lovely hat! I have the opposite problem - a big head (not "big headed" you understand!)so I have one of Clare's hats too - a summer version.
The tweedy one is great too.

Clare is so talented and she has the perfect glam model in you. You should both be in Country Living in their Style section. I want a cloche hat too now. The Sydney weather isn't as ideal as the UK but a lot of the older-style hats are coming back, thanks to Mad Men. In the street the other day I saw a funky couple with a man's 40's style hat and she was in a cloche and looked wonderful. Take Care and I'll check out the talented Clare's site when I get a chance. Of course, I love the name of her Blog! And I love your curtains as well. xx

Have a nice week.
Lovely classy hats and you model them so well!
