Garden flowers

Freshly picked flowers to brighten up my kitchen

I love the mixture of colours

On Saturday, we went to Lacock village again, this time to take my parents who came over for a surprise visit. We were lucky with the weather. One of the things that I like in Lacock is that several houses sell home grown flowers and vegetables just outside their door. My Mother bought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers that had just been freshly picked and put outside for sale.

I had to share the flowers with you, so beautiful! You really cannot beat garden flowers.

Photos on Lacock village outing to follow. Only had time for a quick post today!

Thank you for all your good wishes! :0)

A bientôt!

I agree, garden flowers are divine. Particularly love those zinnias. The garden flowers always disappear very fast at the WI Market in Bridport.
Hope you had a great weekend; sounds as if you did!

Hi Isabelle!
Just stopped by to say you’ll be relieved to read you’re not the latest “tagging” victim in Lola’s latest post! (Or at least not when I last checked...!!)

Loved your post - always used to stop at Lacock en route London to Bath. And buy some flowers left outside - so trusting! Hope the vendors remembered to collect our money afterwards!!

Have a wonderful day & see you again soon!

That's the best way to buy flowers. So much nicer than the run of the mill things you see at the florist.

Gorgeous dahlias in that mix...I absolutely adore them, despite my Mother insisting they're 'vulgar'...how ridiculous!
You have an award on my blog, by the way...but I'm sure you get loads, so I wont feel irked at all if you don't play it's game!

What wonderful flowers! Lacock village is super, we're a couple of mins drive from it so are often found there wandering along its streets at the weekend or eating cream teas!

Lovely flowers, and many of the farms have produce and flowers outside them with trust pots for the money...

We always use firefox, internet explorer is usually targeted by hackers as its part of microsoft and they don't like microsoft!

have a fab week...

I love these bright and cheery colours. We need that with the weather going up and down, or is it better in your neck of the woods? Anyhow don't let the weather spoil your good humour! Have a lovely day!

Hi Isabelle, your Mum has certainly bought you some gorgeous flowers. Lacock sounds similar to Guernsey where the hedge vege stalls overflow with flowers, fruit, vegetables and all manner of bric-a-brac (on the odd occasion). It is so nice to be able to have a place were an honesty system still works.

Hi there :)

What beautiful flowers, they are so cheery and what pretty colours, thank you for sharing.

Ohooo yes your little girl would love the sewing kit, my seven year old adores it, though knows we are sharing ;~)

It was £10.00 reduced to £5.00, and may be even cheaper now.

Lovely to hear from you, you have a wonderfully pretty blog :)

Yes I was having problems with accessing blogs and I wondered why, thanks for mentioning that.
Lacock is one place my M-I-L keeps saying we should go to and we never have as yet, as living In wiltshire it isn't too far from her I'm looking forward to seeing the photos.

I love your flowers, the colours are gorgeous. My daughter has flowers lined up on her bedroom windowledge everyday. She says she likes the people walking past to look up at them and feel happy. Today she bought small sunflowers and pink and orange carnations. I also love those 1920' and 30's styles.

Bright cheery flowers are always lovely (especially on a day like today when it's raining)! Looking forward to seeing your photos from Lacock...it's such a gorgeous village. I always play 'spot the Pride and Prejudice location' when we go! Katie x

Such gorgeous colours .. perfect for this dark rainy day. It is hard to believe it is still summer when the garden is looking so bedraggled and forlorn..
I love to visit Lacock, it is such a unique village and always has something new to offer.. I would love the V & H fair to be there one day.

I love your flowers and the riot of colours. Can I ask what the pink one in a sunflower shape is?
