Well done to Mate from Bleu de Lavande whose number came up on the random number generator.
The goodies will be posted to you on Monday
(Please note that anyone who left more one comment, only the first entry counted)

Thank you to all of you who left comments and for all your lovely Happy birthday wishes. I had a lovely birthday and gorgeous gifts! On the weekend of my birthday Alan took me to Lacock village, Abbey & museum. I had not been there before but had wanted to for some time especially after having watched the BBC TV series Cranford which was filmed there. I will put some photos of my day out there in my next post.

If you live in UK or are on holiday in the UK, this week will not have been a very good one weather wise, very wet indeed! I do feel sorry for those who have opted for a family holiday at the beach this week...

Here is a video of what it's looking like in Somerset this morning...

Things have a habit of happening at once....
These past couple of weeks we have been busy dealing with things going wrong. My spare computer gave up on me so I had to buy a brand new one last Monday. Our car has broken down 3 or 4 times in the past week, so we decided it had to replaced as it is no longer reliable and needs to have quite a bit of work done to it. Yesterday we bought another one which we will pick up next week.

Our water leak in the lounge meant that the carpet had to be pulled up and be thrown away. We will be painting the floorboards, something we had planned on doing eventually but not just yet.

Today....we are having electrical problems in the kitchen, main switch keeps tripping. Trying to establish if boiler or cooker is the cause, cannot work that out yet...

All these things you can accept better when spread throughout the year but not in the space of just 2 weeks!

A parcel arrived in the post this morning from Sal, I bought a couple of beautiful scented sachets. Thanks Sal. A wonderful parcel to open up all beautifully presented, it brighten up my day!

A bientot

Congrats to the winner, Bleu de Lavande! And so sorry, Isabelle, to hear about all your problems. Must be catching! My computer's kaputt and just been replaced by a shiny new Dell which will hopefully help to UNblock all the site blocks I've been encountering lately. But don't get me started about Mr Blogger - done enough whingeing about him in my current post!

Have a wonderful weekend!

I love your "movie clip" of a wet & windy Friday in Somerset.. just the same here (ha ha). All my sympathies re the chain of breakdowns & events. It often goes that way here too. Had a very stressful time a few months ago when the electrics kept tripping. Luckily we have now had that fixed. Have a good weekend, Lizzie xxx

Hi Isabelle,
I am so sorry for all the bad luck. You are right that it is hard to take all at once. Hopefully it is behind you now. I loved the show Cranford and anything that the BBC produces. Yes, I do have trouble getting to some blogs and for along time couldn't leave comments on most. Things have gotten better for me now.

I think the reason for not being to access certain blogs some of the gadgets. Too many moving parts and some will just terminate the page from loading at all.
Have a great weekend!!

Hi Sonia
I have been wondering about that, that's why I got rid of my music playlist. Hoping that will make a difference.

Oops sounds like I missed a good giveaway! Glad you had a nice birthday.

We're having a spate of things breaking at the moment, latest was a shower screen but I'm hoping as it was installed under 12 months ago the company will replace for free (fingers crossed anyway).

Lovely things from Sal, love the Russian dolly fabric!

No problem accessing most blogs although today I have had a problem leaving comments on the blogger blogs.

And cannot access Rosesposes anymore and cannot figure out how to tell her I miss her?! Oh, the joys of blogging!

Congratulations to Mate!!! Love her blog.
Glad you had such a nice Birthday! You deserve it after dealing with all those mishaps. We've been going thru a bit of that ourselves.
It's funny you mention blogging problems. I've been getting a lot of " Internet Explorer has to shut down due to problems....then it says Adobe Flash something is the problem. It does it at least twice a day. Can't be a good sign.
I do find that blogs with music and special template backgrounds take longer. Too many post on a page does that too. I also resize all my pics which I think helps.
It's interesting that we all have issues with computers and blogger yet we hesitate to bring it up. Bravo to you for opening the conversation!!!!
Have a great weekend Isabelle.....

Congrats to the winner, and I know just what you mean about all the problems happening at once... my car died, the boiler keeps tripping the electric so now I have to boil the kettle to do the washing up... so when Mr P puts an "on demand water heater" in perhaps I can squeeze in the request for a dish washer... leaving more time to craft! lol ;D
