TAKING A BREAK FROM BLOGGING

Hello everyone

Just a quick hello to say that I need to take a break from blogging for a little while.

Over the past couple of months I have been extremely busy and have found it increasingly difficult to find the time for blogging. There is quite a bit going on that requires my full attention. As Autumn approaches I need to find more time to work on my online shop and get ready for the fair in October. I already work for myself doing something else and am very busy renovating the house and garden, looking after my daughter etc... Something has to give as I am not superwoman!... We had hoped we would get the lawn down in time for Miss P's birthday but we are running behind...simply not enough hours in the day! I am not left with much spare time, so blogging is one of the things I need to put on hold for now.

Views near where I live

So far the summer holiday is whizzing by! I've had family staying with us, including my sister this week. It has been great spending some quality time with her. Lots of laughter! We get on so well but don't often manage to see each other because of distance and busy lives we both lead.

Sunday is Miss P's Birthday she will be 10 years old, already...

I remember when Miss P looked like this...

I hope that you are all having a great time during these summer holidays.

Take care ;-)

A bientôt!

Isabelle X

I think you are very wise and although we will miss you having a break will probably give you some more time to do the things that matter. Hope to see you back agaian when things settle down a bit and maybe you will pop in and see us now and then even if you don't have time to blog yourself.

Enjoy your time with your daughter they grow up so fast (I speak as one who knows!) and hope that the 10th birthday will be fun.

Take care of yourself and try and find a few moments of calm to yourself amidst your busy days. There are so many lovely calming places here in Somerset aren't there?!

First ...a big Happy Birthday to the sweet Miss P!
Then... I know just where you are coming from Isabelle, I also have not posted as often as I wanted to because projects that were on a back burner needed to get put forward. My house is a mess waiting to be painted and the window molding replaced and I so want it done for the holidays.
When you make it back I will be happy to see you and you will be in my thoughts through out the Autumn season. Take care and enjoy the process!

Isabelle,

Sorry to hear you wont be around in blogland for awhile. I too am very busy lately with full time work and getting a new home built, its all rush. I would love to have time to myself to join a club or do a course but not this year, I wasn't home from work this evening until 7 then had to eat, do some chores and now have my boyfriend over at 9. No rest for the wicked :) How lovely, Miss P has the same birthday as me, August 15th :) Oh what a lovely day :) Hope you have a nice time off from blogging and remember make sure you have some time to do things you like :) Enjoy

All things nice...

Hi Isabelle .Hope you get all your projects finished and that the birthday celebrations go well.Sometimes the pressure of time and deadlines makes blogging just another tyranny(a bit like weightwatchers!!).There are not enough hours in the day for sure so remember to take time to 'stand and stare'Will miss you.Take care now.

You are right.. sometimes something has got to give... I was struggling to work, maintain friendships, relationships, cook etc.. and then blog on two sites. Sadly Tresor Chic for me is slightly on the back burner.. Perhaps all bloggers need a break from time to time.. gives new ideas a chance to percolate... Enjoy! x

I totally agree with you, sometimes you have to prioritise when you have such a busy life. I hope you come back when things have settled done, can't wait to see your online shop. Enjoy the rest of the holidays and Miss Ps birthday.

Hi Isabelle
You will be missed, but I do understand. Renovating a house is a full time job in itself without the other pressures of life!! Have a lovely break and hope to see you back soon. Happy birthday Miss P.

Really wise of you to take a break, Isabelle. We shall all be here for you when you return. Family, life, health, art are all more important than Blog Posts. I shall show Daisy the photographs of Miss P. She looks beautiful at every age (just like her Mamma does). I look forward to your posts when you return. Hope Miss P had a wonderful day on Sunday. xx

Dearest Isabelle, life is so frequently full of things we sometimes have to be sensible and slow things down a bit in order to achieve the Important Stuff.
I often pop in to read what you've been doing and so will miss your posts, but I will look forward to catching up with you on your return.
Good luck with the online shop, and I have to say, your little daughter is blossoming into the most beautiful girl! :)

Much love

Very wise to take a blog break Isabelle - I've just had one myself. Family and work must ALWAYS come first.

Enjoy the rest of the summer and see you when you are ready to blog again.

Oh and a Happy Belated (very!) Birthday to Miss P.

Dearest Isabelle,

I think you are very wise taking a break, if blogging feels like it is only becoming a burden and a stress. I have had moments when I have felt the same, and even now, as I am finding more inspiration with summer days over and more indoor time looking inviting, I still battle "blog existentialist questions" a lot. It does take such a lot of time, especially since one wants to be a good blog friend and visit all the lovely blogs out there, but sometimes there just is not enough time...

I hope you will now have the time to catch up with the world close to you and with yourself. We will still be here to greet you should you decide to come back one day. ;-D

Lots of love,
Helena
