Easter Flea finds

I hope that you all having a good Easter weekend. Today, the weather was a bit cold and windy but it was SUNNY!
First thing in the morning we went around the garden in search of eggs and Easter goodies. Miss P had a great time collecting eggs in her basket.

After that, I headed for the Shepton Mallet Flea market.

I am pleased with what I brought back. However, I made the mistake of thinking about buying a floral eiderdown I saw as soon as I arrived there. Instead of snapping it up on the spot, I went away and thought about it. By the time I decided to go back for it, it had gone...You know that feeling, when you look back and wonder why on earth you just didn't go for it when you had the chance, nevermind....

This is my favourite find! I didn't hesitate one bit when I saw this chair. Although I don't really know where it's going to go in the house, it still had to come back with me. The colours are so me!

When I returned from the flea market, Alan had a lovely Sunday roast ready for me and one of these was waiting for me. Decorated by Miss P.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

A bientôt!

Wow I wish there was a flea market like that round here .... went to the car boot this morning and the buyers outnumbered the sellers by about 5:1 ..... I love that floral braid .... the weekend weather hasn't been so bad after all has it x

The chair is gorgeous, what a find 1 I know that sinking feeling you get when you spot something and then go back and it's gone, happened to me too any times. Glad the sun stayed out for you. I haven't left the house since I read your first the post this morning, it's been hailing here.

Happy Easter!
I was at the flea today too, I had a stall upstairs, and I did just the same thing with the buying, I saw something in the morning and decided to think about it, by the time I went back the whole stall had packed up and gone home - oops!

Dear Isabelle,
I always love all your finds. The little canisters with the yellow flowers are so sweet. I really enjoyed the photos of Miss P hunting for eggs. I made the mistake of showing it to my Daisy who is totally MIFFED that the Easter Bunny didn't bring her a Hello Kitty magazine pack. Oh dear...
Enjoy your day! xx

That's funny!I also had a late aunt who lived in Lorraine and who had an attic at the top of her house and I used to dream about it .I suppose that my love for brocante was borned in that place..

what lovely things you got- I looked at the chair because I loved the embroidered seat!
Aren't we lucky to have SUCH a good fleamarket, and wasn't the weather fab- I'm always so cold there I'd wrapped up in 3 layers of cashmere, and my face bright was red at the end of the day :)

You found some great things. I particularly like those yellow and black teacups and saucers, they are most unusual. The chair and seat cover are lovely too.

Hello Isabelle darling, looks like both you and Miss P were lucky in your hunt. Miss P is so adorable, God bless her and keep her safe and you too luv. I love the chair you came home with, it reminds me of my Auntie Rose's favourite chair. Her chair is green with almost the same pillow cushion. Darling, I read your comment over at koralee's about the use of magnesium. I started taking magnesium over a year ago and has helped me tremendously. However, during my last check-up I was told to stop taking it because my magnesium level was too high, I was told high levels will have the opposite effect, so do be careful darling. For me the country and the season play huge role with my migraines. Since I live part of the year in the states, I have noticed I get more migraines in California than in England and I get more migraines during spring than any other season. I have suffered with migraines for almost 27 years, I think it is about time to stop having them, (hope God reads your blog and my comment). Take care darling and enjoy your treasures. I am curious to see the results of the cupboard, are you done with it?

Take care luv
Love & Hugs
Duchess

Thank you so so much for your caring comment and all your advice about my daughter's migraines...I feel so much for you to have to live with these yourself. I will take all your advice to heart and I agree about the water...got her drinking a lot more...off to buy magnesium tables...what a great idea.
What a blessing you are and so so kind to take the time to comment. I think or I know stress is what brings them on...today she had just the blurry eye part without the migraine..does that ever happen to you? Then she worries and that causes stress ...we need to break this cycle.
Hugs for a great week and I so thank you. xoxo
