What has taken me so long???

It's been almost 3 weeks since my last post!

I'd love to say that it's because I've been away on an exotic holiday somewhere in French Polynesia...Oh how that would be lovely!...

But that's not the case. I have been physically and mentally drained..Things will catch up with you in the end...

On Saturday I decided to venture out a bit further as I felt better. Up until then, my energy levels had been very low. Frustrating for someone like me who is always on the go. I didn't really go that far, I went to Bath to spend some vouchers which I had for Christmas. I bought myself this tea dress. That cheered me up! ;-))

After buying the dress, we went to Cafe rouge where I had French Onion Soup & Tarte Tatin with vanilla ice cream, delicious!

Once lunch was enjoyed, it was time to head back to the shops. After having been unwell it was showing on my face/skin, it was in need of some pampering and re hydrating. So I went to Neal's Yard with my 20% off coupon from latest Marie Claire magazine and bought some Rose products

I like their products, the Wild Rose Beauty Elixir feels lovely on the face.

Speaking of roses, a few weeks ago I went to a local village vintage fair and bought a few things. It was a very small fair and half of the stalls were of people who owned vintage shops in Frome. I had hoped there would be more individual stalls.

I bought this pair of curtains, a few other pieces of fabric and a handful of Ladybird books.

I have some catching up to do... A mountain of ironing awaits me...so I'd better get started. I will soon be posting about the lounge corner & cupboard makeover...

A bientôt!

Isabelle X

Sorry to hear you've been under the weather, Isabelle, I did wonder where you had been. Shame it wasn't the exotic holiday! Hope you are on the mend. Lovely tea dress, I'm sure you'll look lovely, and fab curtains too.

Hi Isabelle!
Sorry to hear you've been feeling under par, but it's good to hear that you are getting better and venturing out into the wide world. I do like your purchases :-)
I use the Neals Yard Rose range too, and I just love it. Luckily I sometimes receive some as gifts from friends too. I haven't used the Marie Claire voucher yet, but must make sure I don't miss the end date!
Have fun catching up and I hope you can enjoy some more sunshine over the coming days.
Take care,

Sometimes you just have to take a rest. Okay, it never feels like it is time for a rest, but sometimes your body just commands it. Better listen to it. I do hope that you will be on the run again soon. Love the tea dress and the curtains!

Hello Isabelle, I am like you. I have a mountain of ironing as well (I never seem to catch up with ironing) I always try to do too much and it's so bad for your health and skin! I am now trying to get more sleep and come off the computer by 9pm and read books. I love the dress and think it looks so flattering. Neal's Yard is a brand we don't get in Australia but I shall look out for it. Health stores may stock it. I saw a beautiful beauty book of Liz Earle's the other day which I shall buy as I love that sort of thing. I also love the curtains. Take care of yourself dearest. You're in my thoughts and prayers. GET SOME SLEEP !! xx
