SNOW!...well a little dusting of it

This morning I was greeted by Alan telling me it had snowed overnight and that he was popping out to take some pictures for my blog (very thoughtful, I thought). That news certainly helped me wake up. I hopped out of bed to have a look out of the window. I confess, I was expecting more than just a dusting but it was still nice to have a little rather than none. Miss P's reaction to it was 'Ooh great, no school' but her hopes were dashed when Alan told her it would require more snow than that before the school would decide not to open.

I have laryngitis & a cold so have been staying indoors for the past few days. That's why Alan went out to take some photos for me this morning. I have had a deep hoarse voice for the past few days but today I am losing it...My work involves quite a bit of talking over the phone so I am taking everything I can so that I don't lose it! Being self employed I can't delegate my work to anyone else and with a deadline to meet I simply cannot lose my voice now...

I've just rang Alan at work to see if I can still be understood at the other end of the line, he said that now I sound like a little old lady...with a sore throat! Oh dear..., not being one to give up, I shall persevere...

Oh well it's a start, maybe we'll get more snow soon...

A bientôt!

Oooh, it looks lovely. We had a very hard frost overnight and snow showers are forecast for the next few days but none yet. Harry is predictably beside himself at the thought of snow! Hope you're on the mend soon.

I'm sorry to hear you are sick, how annoying! At least you have a lovely sweetie who is there to take photo's and be kind. I loved the photo's he took of the sprinklings of snow, like icing sugar on top of cakes! So pretty and so different from where we are. Hope you feel better soon, xo

Hello Isabelle
Sorry to hear you are poorly - take care of your voice! I had plenty of laryngitis years ago as a Class Teacher and really empathise with you!
A dusting of snow, eh? Lucky you - we woke to frosty cars but everything else is pretty damp. I love your sunrise photos! That is what I went looking for yesterday, on my Birthday morning!!
Take care, stay warm,

Alan has taken some gorgeous photos! How magical to have snow. I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling poorly. Get as much rest as you can. Health is the important thing over work. And Honey yes and Sandalwood oil is meant to be good for throats that are sore. Try not to use your voice too much! I wish it would snow in Sydney. It's sooo humid! xx

Well done Alan, he has done you proud there :) Gorgeous photographs. Hope you can rest that voice, I studied voice training when I was at Drama school, and know how precious ones voice is, could Alan take the reigns for a little while maybe, if he is as good at talking as he is at photograph, your work shall be in very safe hands :)

hope it improves very soon

Love and a Merry Christmas

the 'dusting' was lovely today.. i do hope your throat improves isabelle..' chamomile tea with honey, lemon and a hint of whiskey always works for me... the chamomile seems to numb the throat somehow and seems to relieve the soreness.
look after yourself,
with warmest wishes
