Looks like Rein..deer

Yesterday we went to Wells to watch the reindeer parade. Unfortunately, it began to rain just as the reindeer arrived on the market place.

I wonder what the little elf is thinking?

One of the many stalls

As it began to rain harder, I decided that popping in to Maddie Brown would be a could idea... Any excuse to look around one of my favourite shops in Wells!

We weren't the only ones to shelter from the rain, not long before the picture was taken, the area was full of people.

Miss P and I enjoyed a little browsing...

As we returned back home, we were treated to several rainbows on the way

It is a very busy time for most of us now, I hope that you are all managing to get your Christmas shopping & card writing done. I haven't written any cards yet...

A bientôt!

What a shame about the rain but it still looks beautiful and I am sure the reindeer didn't mind.

Oh what a shame about the rain but looks like it was fun nonetheless.

I haven't written any of my cards yet... I was supposed to do that this evening but blogging took over... tomorrow definitely will be card writing night!

Isabelle,
Oh santa and a real reindeer, in our local town santa comes on a golf buggy or by horse and cart, from one extreme to the other, it looked really nice in Wells despite the rain. Hope you enjoyed yourself.

All things nice...

I've only managed cards for the neighbours so far!
Looks like you had a lovely day out, despite the weather.

Dear Isabelle,

So sorry not to be reading for a couple of weeks - work has overtaken me somewhat. Tonight is the night I have decided to catch up, and this is the first post I have read... and my goodness! The reindeer is lovely! I have never seen one that I can remember... well maybe at a safari park? I can't remember though. The one in your photos looks so big and powerful!

Anyway, hope you are well in the run up to Christmas. Is it still wet and muddy? It seems to get worse by the day here...

Love Charlotte

Beautiful pictures! I would love to visit there one day! Love those reindeer! Did you find the pot of gold beneath that gorgeous rainbow? I think you already have your treasure in Miss P.!
Take care, Laura

Hi Isabelle!
We had the reindeer too - pop over to see my pics!
I didn't know they would be in Wells, or we would have come to see them. Aren't they lovely animals?
We're just starting to get busy and festive here - finally we have the definitive gift list and to do list.... and only 17 days to go .... we aren't ones for rushing into anything!!
Wishing you a happy week

Sorry about the rain but happy you and Miss P were able to stop inside that neat shop!! And a rainbow or two to boot on the way home isn't a bad thing. Lucky day, somewhat! Hope you get all your Christmas plans up to date!

Reindeer look so magical, don't they? I shall have to show my daughter this post when she gets home from preschool Miss P looks so tall! I thought she was you until I spotted the handbag. It is a very busy time of year and we all put so much pressure on ourselves to be perfect and get it all done. I have written half my cards and have nearly all my gift shopping done. I had hoped my house would be perfect for Christmas but there's as much chance as that as spotting a reindeer in the streets of Sydney.
I love your pretty snow. Aren't you clever? Take Care and take deep breaths. I am trying to focus on the truly important Christmas spirit rather than all the madness but it's not easy! xx

Isabelle I think that is the first real reindeer I have ever seen! How exciting.. they do exist :) *childhood fantasies now confirmed*

What a shame all this rain has spoilt so many Christmas events. Let's hope it's dry for Santa on the 24th! I haven't even bought my cards yet!

Wells is just lovely, isn't it? What a lovely shot of the reindeer. The rainbow photos are super too. The south west seems to do well for rainbows. Don't think I ever saw so many till I moved here. No Cards or presents bought here yet...

Hi Isabelle,
Such a shame about the awful wet weather we've been having, spoiling the Christmas shopping experience...
I think things are set to change by the end of this week though... at last.
I loved your photo of the reindeer - aren't they just so gorgeous?!
Thanks for your comments on my blog - the sun shone for a while in Shepton today and I suddenly felt a lot more positive about opening my shop...the weather really does have a big effect on us, doesn't it?!

Hope Miss P is enjoying the last few days of school. My youngest is doing her work experience at The Egg in Bath this week - she's helping lots of local schools put on their Christmas nativity plays there...such a lovely time of year for children.

Enjoy the rest of your week,
Niki ...
I'm off to write my Christmas cards now ;-))

Hi Isabelle

Have just done a post to say I won't be at Shepton on Sunday after all. Maybe you'll manage a trip over to Dairy House sometime.

Hi Isabelle, thanks so much for following my blog! We are sll set to have our Christmas Fair in town here too, including reindeer!

I've been enjoying a browse around your lovely photos - your home looks gorgeous, and in such a beautiful part of the country. I haven't visited the West Country for many years, but being a big Thomas Hardy fan, I've promised myself that I'll have a trip there soon with my daughter.
