WOO HOO! BBC TURN BACK TIME - THE HIGH STREET
Some of you may have been following the BBC's TURN BACK TIME - THE HIGH STREET.
You might remember the 1970s era and in particular Woo Hoo the clothes shop.
Well, now you can shop there! Zoe and Mandy who participated in the programme decided to take on that shop and very appropriately sell vintage clothes and accessories.
When you enter the shop, the decor is very much as shown in the TV series.
Come in and have a browse...

It is a delightful shop which since opening has proved to be a huge success!
Why not go and see for yourself....I left there with 2 dresses, a top and a faux fur cape. Pictures to follow!
A bientôt!

I'm really pleased about that. I hope it has a ripple effect as the town really looks so lovely and such a shame that the centre is not as thriving as it was.
ReplyDeleteI wish we got this show on BBC America...hopefully one day. It’s in Shepton Mallet right? I’ve been to the fab flea market there a few times...love, love, luv! Thank you for this...Cynthia

ReplyDeleteisn't it nice to hear some uplifting news for a change.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the tightening-of-belts-situation has hit many people very hard, I do feel it's heralding the return of small businesses with good, effience personal service.
Back to being A Nation of Shopkeepers!

To all the ladies who wished they could see it, tehy would have been able to on the BBC website, on iplayer.
ReplyDeleteI watched a couple of the ones I missed on there!
will have to let you know when it is repeated.
I live in Bath, but most vintage is very expensive if you can find your size.I collected from the 80's then in last few years sold stuff as the vintage revival hadnt happened then, and felt too self consious at the age of 47 to wear any of it!
Haven't made it down to Shpton Mallet yet, but practically every town in UK has a vintage store and the charity shops have a 'vintage/retro' section!
