Today Alan, Miss P and I went to Chipping Sodbury, Gloucestershire. This is the 3rd or 4th time that I have visited this fair which is held twice a year. The standard of stalls was high as ever! We arrived around 11am and the fair was in full swing, it was so busy that at times it was hard to take pictures but I did my best to give you a flavour of what was there. This year the fair was even bigger, the upstairs floor was also used. So many stalls! So much choice! Who is complaining though, you can never have too much choice...

It was yet another fantastic event. Looking forward to the next Vintage and Handmade Fair!
After the fair we headed for Bath to have a late lunch in Cafe Rouge and to do a spot of shopping.
Bath looked very festive as day light faded and the lights came on.
I did of course made some lovely purchases at the V&H Fair which I will share with you in my next post.

Ahhh Isabelle it was so lovely to see you and your family as ever. Thank you for taking so many photographs, it gives a great flavour of the fair.
ReplyDeleteI was listening so intently to the elderly gentleman on my left who was very knowledgeable about vintage textiles and was telling me about Henry Moore and his fabric designs of which I knew nothing. He was so interesting, I was engrossed as you can see!!
When I got home my dress was waiting for me on the kitchen table. I shall try it on tomorrow and let you know how it looks.

Lovely to see the photos and it would have been even lovelier to be there. There seems to be so many more vintage fairs and shops in the SW than here in Herts. I'm quite envious! Louise x

I did manage to have a quick catch up with Alan, who I found tucked away inside the main hall door, waiting with all your bags of goodies as you carried on shopping!
